Connecting the Troopers of Today with the Veterans of Yesterday.
This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.

Bob, that picture behind the OP, with the cross, do you know which OP number that was. I posted the same picture with a different view.
Do you remember when we went to chow one afternoon and the maintenance sgt came to the unit.It seems that Shadow feel asleep in the tank, we looked up the vehicle and left. He was yelling out the main gun barrel when someone heard him. Sgt Blackwell was not happy about him being locked in
I also found pictures on the border and up on the third floor of Tony Herro, Carl Hegley,
MacKenzie,, Dorsey, Miguel Rivera, Sanchez, Lt. Chris Gardner, Thomas Dillon, Armor from Hg. Co, and Al Mendoza. One I Think his name was Hicks
ley
Oh, yeah, Glad another jeep was there, but I was worried, just another fun day in the mountains.
Hey, "WIZ", I found a picture of you and Tony Lima, the Cuban, standing by a border marker, I'll download it soon.
what ever became of Wayne Damon?
Robert Withers, what the hell..... WIZ, get in touch with me @ drsw51@netzero.net, please.... you still living on north side?..... Dennis Wright
The "wiz" , 3rd platoon. I'm George Martin. I was a E-5 tanker. I remember you, Gerry Ferrara, from Hackensack, N.J, Al Mendoza and his wife and their hot Tex-Mex meals, little Rivera from NYC, Robert Blackwell, Jack Palmer, Lt. Gardner, Tom Dillard, Armorer. Best time of my life as border patrol and Amberg. Ferraro, myself, and others had cars and use to get four day passes from Cpt. Downing to travel outside of Germany. Spent a lot of time in Austria. Cpt. Downing got me flag orders from Seventh Army in Heildelberg to go to East Berlin, my best trip.I also took Lt. Gardner out on patrol one day so he could get some Soviet/Cezk gear, even as we were told to report all contact, not. I really enjoyed Camp Rotz, almost like a Boy Scount camp then an army post.
Welcome to Dragoon Base, Robert.
We are having our 2d Cavalry Association reunion in your AO 1-4 October in Valley Forge. Details are on the front page of Dragoon Base under EVENTS.
Last reunion in 2013 was also in your AO at Gettysburg. What a blast! This one should be even bigger and better. You should check it out.
I like to show the new I Troop members this project I'm working on. My son got this sign from a retiring Major at Ft. Lewis. It was supposed to have been brought back from Iraq. I am sealing it in Varathane and making a picnic table out of it.
