Sorry to hear about Parson. I spent a few days with Dean Farmer in Erlanghen while visiting Germany a year or so after I left I-Troop. I ETS'd from Amberg and then came back in a year later. Retired in 2007. One of my closest friends is a guy from 1st Platoon, named Chris Hahn. He might have left by the time you got there. He and I didn't get along back then anyways..only later when we met up at Ft Bliss. As for Jaqua and Lieder, I haven't heard a thing since I left in 1989. Do you remember (then) SSG Roth? He was in 1st Platoon for awhile and then he went up to Squadron Ops. Years later I took over from him as First Sergeant in a troop in Vilseck. Small world.

A long time indeed. How are you? I've lost contact with most of the guys over the years, but it's always great to hear from one the old gang.

Colonels of the Regiment

9th Colonel of the Regiment David R. Clendenin 29 Oct 1888 – 2 Apr 1891

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
