This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.

Hello Sebert, Always good to hear from you.Im taking a break in Crescent City Ca. Headed for Berkeley Ca. tomorrow. Still doing the traveling Nurse thing. I spent time in Safford Az. Stockton Ca. and Wenatchee Wa. since I spoke with you last. Im going to be working in Berkeley Ca. Do I need to get a micro-bus with flowers on it? Maybe make up a few protest signs and march down the street? Anyway they,re paying me good to go there so ill keep quiet ( is that possible?) come in under the radar, Have you retired yet? last I heard you were chief of staff ! God bless you. Hang it! :)
Sebert, you write it and send it to me and I will sign it.
Bert, I talked to Bob Harris yesterday for nearly an hour, but we could've talked all night! He seems to be doing ok. Glory Days!! BTW- I am coming to DC in DEC. Maybe we can hook up for dinner, or at least a cup a joe. 12- 16 Dec in Arlington at the Crystal City Sheraton by Reagan Airport. Check your calendar!
Sebert,
I vaguely remember that. If you do the write up (since I don't remember the details) I will gladly add my signature block to it and return it to you.
Ron
Hi Sebert,
been a bit slow in responding - sorry! Believe it or not I've been living and working in Germany for the last 20 years - designing telecommunications equipment for the mil/aero markets.
Glad to see some of the old Boeselager guys are showing up - those were great times - have a lot of fine memories.
Saw in your comment list that Bob Harris is also floating around.
Anyway, keep in touch and let's try to expand the "No pain No gain" group!
See ya!
Paul (Rough it - or Ralph it, as most would recall)

Ron
Sebert, I'm doing well. Who else other than you, I and Max Tritt from Boeselager days are on this site?
How are you doing?
Ron
Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the site has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site(ie,photos, ect) in the Forum.
And his only wish that ‘We keep it clean’, use our real names, and you tell all your friends about the new DragoonBase.
Thanks Again for joining,
Jesse Kelley
