Mr. Hopkins,

Greetings, I'm Dave McDermaid and I served with K Troop, 3/2 ACR from 1990-1992 (I served as the unit supply clerk/armorer with CPL Shay and SPC Perry).

I was curious to know whether or not you may be willing to participate in a project that I am considering: writing a book on the 3/2 ACR Desert Shield/Storm story?

I'm in the initial stages of the idea however, I decided that I should see whether or not unit members would be willing to share their experiences with me towards completing the overall story.

I appreciate your time and consideration in the matter, many thanks in advance of your reply.

Very Respectfully,

Dave McDermaid

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
