Wilfred, As supply Sgt for C company you had to know the German guy (Peter Hillenbrand ) who ran the dry claening and laundry place across the road from the main gate and picked up all the personal laundry from Christensen Barracks. I knew him well and I tried to look him up when we went back several yeras ago , there was Dieter Hillenbrand in Bayreuth phone book but no one was ever home there. Do you know what ever happened to him? Also were you the first troops to live in the new barracks at Bindlach?

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
