This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.

Mike, my email address is: resobohw@yahoo.com
I would love to chat with you and get caught up on everything and maybe catch you up on stuff too. BTW, I'm not sure if you remember Rudy Archambeau (Soux Indian - big anti-white man chip on his shoulder) who was in D-Company for a time, anyway, he recently died and was buried in South Dakota. Had a military funeral. He was in a military mental hospital for a time after his discharge for homicidal ideation. He shot somebody and I don't know any of the details. He did say to me right before his discharge, "Do you think Tamborino deserves to be shot with a high powered rifle?" Do you remember Tamborino? I don't know if that's who he shot or not and I don't know if the victim died or not.
Michael,
I noticed earlier another New Jerseyan who's a bit closer to your neck of the woods. Scott Morris is in Bridgeton and served with the 2d Cav 80-84 at Bindlach.
Michael,
Good to see another New Jerseyan on Dragoonbase. I'm in Berlin Twp in Camden County. Was in the 2d Cav a bit before your time tho, from '62 to '65.
Welcome.
Rick Gray
