in October 1971 there was a shooting towards the evening, on the east and west German border. Does anyone remember seeing or hearing anything about the incident on that day, it would mean a lot.

The Month

This story is true. It is about a month of really bad luck I had on one border tour in the late fall/winter of 1978 (I think). I was the driver on a M113. This border tour started like the others, with a road march to the camp we were to be stationed at. I was going to Camp Rotz. I had just had installed a new engine and transmission (power pack) in my track before the road march. A couple of miles from Camp Rotz my engine seized up. Turned out the Depot had crossed an oil line and radiator…

I wanted to thank you for letting me become a member of this site. I am new to the computer do not know a lot,still learning. My wife know a little more then me. Colonels of the Regiment

9th Colonel of the Regiment David R. Clendenin 29 Oct 1888 – 2 Apr 1891



This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
