Hey "Rock" buddies.

I was there Jan 84-Sept. 85 The wall was up, the snow was cold.

Anyway. There was another buddy, I won't say who, who is struggling now. Unemployed, losing his house and has a pressing medical problem Which makes it difficult to find work,. Any amount of money,( $5.00 from a lot of people should would go far for him.) I have not asked for money before but did you ever wonder if everybody you knew sent you only $5.00 how much you would get? I won't ask again…

"Always Ready" salute.

Just something to add, perhaps it jogs a few memories.

In December of 83 I got my orders from Fort Sill that I would be finishing out my next 20 months in Europe, of course I had put in for CA or Hawaii. But Europe would be an adventure. (Army knew best) I would leave Jan 17th never forget the date

I wore more Dress Green very proud, heard a few positive comments in the civilian airports, proud PFC a few medals, ribbons etc that civilians had very little clue… Continue

9th Colonel of the Regiment David R. Clendenin 29 Oct 1888 – 2 Apr 1891



This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
