Connecting the Troopers of Today with the Veterans of Yesterday.

My oldetr daughter has just returned from a 2 week vacation in our Capital ( Washington D C)  She was really happy that she was there during the Memorial Holiday. She saw the Vietnam Wall, the changing of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider.

She said that she was really impressed by the WWII Memorial. She said there was so many elderly WW II Vets there. She tried to thank everyone of them. Her daughter ( my granddaughter) was totally taken back by her feeling of patrotism showed by them. She said that is one day she will not forget.

Makes an ol' grandpa very proud of his children. They work hard, pray for and help others and are there if you need them. Can't ask for anything more.

Thanks for sharing that, Vearl. You DO have quite a bit to be proud of.

Colonels of the Regiment

9th Colonel of the Regiment David R. Clendenin 29 Oct 1888 – 2 Apr 1891

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
