Have you ever been to The Hofbrauhaus in Munich? (Maybe you were there during Oktoberfest and just don't remember). Well, the next time you are in Las Vegas, Nevada, you might have to do a double take. The Hofbrauhaus in Vegas is an exact replica of the one located in Munich (okay, you might not find your name carved in one of the benches). It is located diagonally from The Hard Rock Cafe (I believe it is on the corner of Paradise and Harmon Blvds.). On my last visit, I met this retired Air Force captain sitting at the bar. Through our conversation and beer (and shots of Jagermeister), I found out he used to fly F-4's over Germany. It was great sitting in that place with a live German band playing (although they did't do our request for Deutsheland Uber Alles). When the place was closing, the manager let us buy the band a few rounds and we partied with them after hours. I guess if you miss German food, you can find it there too. So, when in Vegas, make sure to stop in. (p.s. the hostess and bartender don't speak German - so don't even try).
