We worked together in the SOC with SSG Ritter/LT Hovey. Before that I was a 19D with Ritter in A-trp from 85-89. I spent 3 years in 1/9 aircav at Ft. Lewis then left the service in 91. I sold my commercial remodeling business in late 07, and have been doing residential contracting to stay busy when I'm not riding dirt bikes or out on the fishing boat.
I live in Newberg Oregon, which is just outside Portland on the way to the coast.
You nut! You didn't put in the SOC for one of your duties. How are you doing. I just got on this page a few days ago. I retired from the army in 03. I am currently living in reno, NV. I am the Senior Army Instructor for a JROTC program within the Reno school district.
Wow! I have been thinking of putting together a book about the border mission, and now I have found all you guys. I will give you a call once I get my idea on paper as to what I would like to write about. Drop me a line.
Thanks for putting me on to the lincense plate frame. Living just outside of Ft Benning I see all types of frames like "infantry" "ranger" "airborn". IThat will all chnage when the Armor School redeploys to Ft Benning to the form the new Ft Benning

Hey Doob, how ya doing?
I'm living the good life in the back woods of Indiana.
I hear from Klink every once in a while.
He is on active duty again, going somewhere in Feb.
Thanks Doob, I apppreciate your feedback. As I mentioned to Gary, I have some additional footage which I'll post soon. One question for you: during your 1982-1984 tour were you in Bamberg or Bindlach? Maybe we crossed paths or 'handed over the Ops Center' to one another. I wonder whatever happened to the Regimental Inspectors a.k.a. ROC such as CSM Trobough or SFC Booker? (theirs are some of the few names I recall).
I will also post some Bindlach 'the Rock' videos too. My old billets (Company D) are now a nursing home if you can believe that, and my old barracks room is where they store office and medical supplies. The indignity of it!

Toujours Pret Doob,
Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the site has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site(ie,photos, ect) in the Forum.
If you need any help, you can contact Robb, or myself, or just yell out another member may be able to help.
And his only wish that ‘We keep it clean’, use our real names/with pictures, and you tell all your friends about the new DragoonBase.

I see you have Jeff Stamper as one of the guys you're looking for. He's on here, bro. Just look through the members listings.
Jeff was on the old Dragoon Base site and helped me out quite a bit over the years.
