Hey, Gary.  Happy New Year.  Seems like just a few short years ago we were guarding the borders of West Germany from Camp Wieden to Rotz, Hohenfels to Grafenwoehr.  What a great time.  I'd really like to reconnect with the officers stationed at Christensen Barracks from 1969 - 1972/73.  Are you in contact with anyone?

This is Steve Oliver served at "the rock" from 1969 - 1972.  I was the Adjutant I believe when you arrived.  You took over Air Defense Officer from me.  Did you train at Fort Bliss as well?  Sue & I spent 6 weeks there in April - May, 1969.

Glad to find you here.  Have you been in contact with any others from our days in Germany.  I'd like to link up to anyone we can find.

Talk to you later.  Take care...be well!

It took you three years to walk over to the Oldtimers. I figured a Jersey gentleman would not take so long. Better late than ever. Do you still live in Haledon? I miss it so bad but I know it's not the same.

Gary, I remember you. I was the PBO when you were the Spt PLt Ldr. Glad to see a name I could remember.

I believe you were the spt plt ldr when someone torched our brand new trucks. Cpt Wagoner was the S4 at the time.

I grew up in Haledon... 391 Belmont Avenue. Went to Kossuth St. school. What a small world. Take a look at the Oldtimers group. Would love to have you on-board.

Toujours Pret Gary,
Welcome Sir, to the new DragoonBase, the new Base has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie, Officers Club, F-Trp., Amberg, Medics, etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site (ie,photos, links, ect) in the Forum.
Make sure you stop by and read the latest Tacoma Dave ‘Triva Quiz’, learn some 2nd Cav history and you can even win a kool prize.
If you need any help, you can contact Robb, or any of the 5 admins listed at the top of the page, or just yell out, another member may be able to help you.
And our only wish, ‘Keep it clean’, use our Real names/with Pictures (pix from back in the day, work best for searching for Brothers, but any picture will do).
And that you please tell all your friends about the new DragoonBase.

Thanks again for joining Dragoon Base, and for your service to our great country,
Jesse Kelley
