I am still living outside Ft. Leonard Wood. Oldest daughter is colorist at a salon in Manhattan NYC,oldest son USAF intel guy at Ramstein, youngest daughter is a brand new 1st grade teacher in Rolla, MO and youngest is still in college. I have your cell # somewhere so I'll call if I get a chance. Working as a civilian dermatology PA now so I have even less contact with the Desert Storm bunch. So I guess I'll stay up on this site and see who shows up.

Sir, do you remember a youngish corporal in the radar section who arrived and began to tell folks in C Troop Aggie jokes in 1977? That was long ago. Jack Miller stuck me with the nom de guerre "Davey Crockett". That persisted until I retired a Captain in 1994. I always remembered Captain May's orders: "Remember your regiment and follow your officers!"

Are you the b-troop xo who would proudly explain to anyone who would listen, that there are thousands of places where one can become an engineer, but only one place where you can become a Texas Aggie? If so you and "John Wayne" Holley were the two best officers I served with in my short 4 years.

Good morning Sir. I seems that our Beloved Regiment was and still is a major stepping stone to the 'Stars" I was in 1st plt. C Trp. when you were there. I was driver for SSG Webb. Lt Becker was the Plt. Leader. Lt. Becker was in C Troop s a cadet in 75 and returned as a brand new Lt. Congratulations on a stellar career. Always Ready, Sir.!

Sir,Bill I was curious if are the same Lt.Weber who tortured a certain Sgt. on border patrol with the question "WHAT if this or that happened?" You,if you're the same Lt.,would take a group of troopers to volksmarches on weekends.in your personal vehicle. If you are, than all those questions must be part of the criteria for promotion!Congrats on Making BG whether we met in C-Trp or not.        Best wishes ,(Sgt)Rick "Reamo"Reames  yrs73-77

Bill - you are right about the picture - this was at the reception ceremony we had when we got back to Polk.
Our Christmas card & letter got to you and Robin got returned this past winter - so I'll email you the letter and some pictures of the family to save time. I retired in Jun of last year. We are staying in Williamsburg for now. David is living and working Chicago. Erin is in grad school for English at OSU - I am a Buckeyes fan as long as they are paying her. Cathy has been substitute teaching special ed - but has agreed to take a full time job at a middle school in our county. Cathy and Erin put Kasha down while I was in Iraq in '06.

Thanks, Bill.

Like you, I cut my teeth in C Troop as 3rd Platoon and then 2nd Platoon Leader. Had Tom Molino and Dick Teeters as Trrop Commanders before I was assigned as the A Troop XO. Still have a lot of fond memories about 1/2 ACR ad all the fine Troopers in it. If you ever hear from or about Bill Eicher, please send me his contact info. I'd love to catch up in the last 30 years.

Best regards,

Sir, Bill,
I told you a good friend of yours retired me from service as a DAC. It took me awhile to remember, he spoke highly of you and mentioned the fact that we served together in the 2d ACR. It was BG Mark Hertling, this happens when you get a little older. I had the name on the tip of my tongue for weeks now. Really all I had to was look at a pile or piles of stuff in my den. I will some day I hope be able to sit down and put my career in chronological order. Take care, Top
