WOW! Grass on the parade field! And I remember some of those brews. Can't say I had a bad one. Except maybe Schiessel. Most of us didn't like it because the brewery was across the street from a sewage treatment plant!
Tom, good morning and thanks for the birthday wish! I'm just glad to be on this side of the grass!
I thought the reunion was a great success. I had a great time and I believe we all did! It is always fun to get folks together who have shared a life's experience as we have with the Regiment. I will always be indebted to the Troopers I served with! It doesn't get any better than that! "Dragood for Life"
Hey Tom! No I don't remember that bar. My favorites were LeMarqui (because it was close to post) The Joy, Green Goose (opened while I was there. much after your time) and Mautkeller's I know I saw more than that but not on any regular basis. Nice meeting you in Kentucky and hope to see you at the next!
It's been going, The week after I got home we went to see a friend that is terminal with cancer and the same day got a call that my brother in law from my prior marrige who I am very close to had a heart attack, almost fatal, had open heart surgery to replace 2 arteries and repair one valve, made it thru the surgery and I just talked to him and hes ready to go home tommorow. On the lighter side, benn doing some fishing and golfing. Weather has been nice but a little windy. Getting ready to go to a grandaughters birthday, gotta go Beckys ready and gotta go
Hey Tom I missed you guys at the function that nite. Didn't realize that you were leaving after the tours.
We made it home just fine. It was only a few miles and the samples from the bourbon place had worn off
Next time you talk with CSM McQuerry ask him if he had been the 1GT of L-Trp. The APO had always been 09114 from my first time there in '62 . Thanks for the phone call just now. Nice talking with you. Have a nice day? JW.
I see your main photo is you by the Amberg sign. Have you see my photos on my page? Check out that Amberg sign. Can't beleive the germans packed it in my household items with out turning me in to the police? My X B-I-L did ask for it's return once. Ha Ha not me.
