Hello there, Dave, nice to meet you. Thanks for the information about LTC Brinkley. He was a hard-ass and incredibly competent commander----the kind of guy that legends were made about. Love your state----nearly decided to retire there.
Ja I was at the rock man I thought I was on the moon they took all what we had and put houses up, they made it in to a comunity, it brings backe memorys still have contact with Jerry , I seen him laste year in wisc,
But give me a little time - I have been working hard to get this house in order. Cleaning up 10 years of my wife's "house cleaning". You would not believe what I am finding. It was like if we can't find it buy another or I think we need this this so just buy it. Christmas presents that were never wrapped or stuff we got UPS never opened! WTF
I dare say anything - she just gets pissed off. Hey David, if you need ANYTHING don't buy it - just ask me, probably got 3 or 4 of them!
Hello Dave, I was in Amberg from 81 to 84, I was part of the Stinger team in HHT, Did several border tours at May and Reed but since I was really ADA I ended up doing alot of gaurd duty in Graf and Vilsek, But it was an amazing experience and I had the time of my life, I met some great people there that I still think about to this day and look forward to reconnecting with some of them
I served in 2d Cav in the 70's (2/2) and 80's (1/2) and am planning to attend the Reunion next year. I saw your note to wait with reservations, but do you know yet what dates will be offered in the package; i.e., which nights we'll be staying at the Eisenhower hotel? My problem is I live in Germany (Bamberg) and I'm trying to plan a trip Stateside for the Reunion and to visit friends and I need to know what nights not to book at other places.
