Tell us a little about your cav days.

I was drafted during the Berlin build up in February 1962 and after signal school was shipped, literally, to Germany. Left the rock on Christmas 1964. Radio room was in the headquarters building which had been the German hospital. Headquarters troop had the first barracks building inside the gate. I remember it was a hell of a long ways to the motor pool when alert was sounded!
