Swamp

Stuck in the swampland, the German's said the flat grassy area use to be a swamp and was cleared out last year. I think this was on Reforger of 1980.

Hey Mike C.  I left command of D Co. in December 1977 and we had just received M60A1 AOS; I know A3s were coming into the divisions at that time but not sure exactly when they made it to Delta

Mike, we transitioned to the A3's in the spring of 81

Anybody happen to know when 1/2 ACR transitioned from M60A1s to M60A3s?  We always talk about the A3s being old, but if I have the history correct the A3s only went into service about 1979.  That would suggest the ones at the Rock could only have been about 4 years old at the latest when I got there in '83.  Does anyone know the actual date they arrived?

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
