Roger Godby, don't know if you remember Chuck Minnick but he lives in Phoenix also.He was a tanker in F troop 79-80.
OK what happened to the 1st Sgt aka the bull
Hey, it was all part of the Cavalry experience.
so my driver rested and I manned the gun.and posed for corny pics
LOL Dave, we were so short on manpower the jeeps only had 2 men. I do not think I ever had a gunner except on the border and he was usually a tanker or mortarman
I knew Pvt Shultz (the tanker) - he was OK!! Not sure on the wheel mech - he wouldn't last long around me with that attitude ... lol! I'd be the one fixing his mess (he was a 63B, I was a 63C and 63H). But I've known 63B's that could only break things ... lol!!
The only other mech I can recall is the little turret mechanic that was scared up.
Lookin' good, Tim...I mean, Sgt. Rock!
This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
