He served with 25th Infantry and 2d Cav at Ft. Lewis and Vilseck in 2006. He went to 7th Army after that.

David, when they wear the crest on the right breast like that it denotes they served with that unit in combat in the past.

I am sure that he is, I am just wondering.

I was looking at LT. Col Vindman's awards I see that he is wearing a 2ACR crest.  I said to myself "he is one of us". I also wonder if he is wearing the crest correctly?

Harold, yes he must have been one of ours at one time. I see he also has a 25th Infantry badge. I'm thinking he was probably at Ft. Lewis in 2006 when 2ACR was inactivated and 1-25 Inf was reflagged as 2SCR and sent to Vilseck.

Dave, I'm watching LT COL VINDMAN and I notice he's wearing the 2nd AC Pin on his Breast.  Was he one of us?

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
