Hi Dave - good to have you back -  even with your bad back - I need your help, been trying to contact you as you know reference placing Maj Gen.Dennis Malcor 1st Sq. Cmd. from 1975-77 in Fiddlers Green.  I have all the infor you would need including many pict. of his time as Sq.Cmdr.and his obituary, and talking about Fiddlers Green how about you father.? Better yet he should have his own page on Dragon base. His is a story that should be told, here's a question for you, do you know if your dad partake in the Louisiana maneuvers?    And to all you old farts were only $75.00 short of making the goal in donation, -   And thanks again to Sigmund for the SOS recipe -  I hope you don't not mine, it was shared with some of my retiree friends.-- Thanks Dave for the great job you're doing with Dragon base and what's more important in keeping the 2nd Cav, spirit alive. Good Sunday Afternoon all you troopers and Oldtimers!!

Thought I'd better Check In and let y'all know that we're doing OK, down in Thonotosassa, FL. Days are definitely getting Hotter, approaching the 90 degree Mark! Still having some 50s and 60s in the early mornings. Put some New Tires on the F250, last week. Used my so called Stimulis Check for that. B.F.Goodrich All Terrain T/A.

Glad to hear that Ernie's daughter is doing well after her surgery. Probably missed a Birthday here and there ....  Happy Birthday!!

So far, no one in my extended family has gotten this Virus. Hope it stays that way. Had a couple of scares though. Son had a fever, but got over it. No other symptoms.

I wish Everyone well, safe and Healthy. Take care. Live life to the fullest!

Toujours Pret!

Yours Aye,

The (Not So) Wandering Scotsman

I'm still alive. Been crazy busy and then screwed my back up again a week ago. I can get some things done now, but at a price.

Ok guy's, this AM's breakfast was a couple of over easy eggs with a side of left over SOS yum, Here is Becky's recipe; Ingredients; 1/2 lb lean ground beef, 2 cans eveaporative milk, 1 TSP Beef Boulion powder, Olive oil, Parsley Flakes, Garlic Salt.

Crumble and Brown the Beef in a 10/12 inch skillet ans season with a bit of garlic salt, when the beef is done, remove the beef but keep the drippings. Add to the drippings, 2/3 of a cup of white flour, add olive oil as needed, when the flower is browned & crumbly add 1/2 can evaporative milk, stir well and add more mil as needed till you have the consistency you like, season with Beef boulion to taste, also add some garlic salt to taste, put in some ground Parsley flakes, stir and add the ground beef. Put over toasted bred of your choice, we like Winco's Potato Bread. Enjoy !

tom, that sounds good but I like it with chopped meat. I could just probably mix chopped meat in instead of chipped beef.walmarts has a frozen stoufers chipped beef and sauce that's good enough for one breakfast.but it's a royal pain in the ass trying get it out of the bag after it comes out of the microwave. i'd give it a week so-so for taste.

See, the Army gave us SOS and as oldtimers we dream about the mess hall or the chow truck.
