I would like to make contact W/Ernest G. Gillespie (EGG), a drummer in the 61-62 era at Merril Barracks. He was from Carleston, WV, I recall.

I played Euphonium in the band from about 3/87-6/88. Also served as a "guinea pig" for a recon platoon that started up!

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
