I live in Sacramento, and Glen is correct Pond Barracks is gone but most of the buildings are still there but it is a housing project now. I was back there in 2013 for a reunion. We have them every two years next years reunion will be in Kansas. Check in here for updates about the logistics. Just wanted to welcome a fellow Pond barracks Trooper. I have many fond memories of my time in Amberg and on the Border. From what I understand Pond barracks is no longer there.
