Tell us a little about your cav days.
If I told you, I'd have to kill you. You wouldn't believe me anyway.
Tell us a little about you now.
Still the same crazy bastard I was back then, just a lot slower and a little meaner.
Name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find.
Lester Paul (found; he's deceased), Harry Watt (found), Paul Garcia (found; he's deceased), Dan "Mac" MacDonald (found; he's deceased), Marty Banning (found here), William "Tiny" Hayden (found here), Marty Buss and the rest of the party room at the end of the hall.

1LT Andy Stilley (found in Texas but lost again), 1SG Jack Miller (found here), CPT (Ret. COL) Tom Molino (found here), SSG Ken Webb, SGT Jim Cain (found here), SSG Rick "Butch" Cassidy (found here), SGT Brian Conlon (found here), SGT Donley French and SGT Dennis French (twins), Dennis Fullerton, Jerome Hess (found here), Scott Hippe (found here), SGT Larry Kissel (found here), PVT Mike Paige, SP/4 Brian Parten (found here), SGT Bob Ryan (found here), SGT Rick Reames (found here), SP/4 Cary Ley (found here), LT Jim Mitchell (found here)...I know there are several more I missed and more that are already here, but the mind gets foggy.

This was probably the last thing SSG Brow saw before I hit him with a flying tackle and put out his flames just past the first hour of July 25, 1974.  I think I must have still had this same expression as I ran away from C15 just seconds before it blew up.

This sign is much more "fancy" than the sign that was out in front of the barracks (what with the artwork on the "Iron" and the artistic sabers).  If it was older than Iraq, it would be more like a sign that would have been inside the barracks (like at/near the CQ desk when people first walked in) ... or perhaps even in the First Sergeant's/CO's offices.

Wow!  I think I might have a photo of that sign in place at Pond Barracks.  If I recall correctly, it was placed across the street from the I troop barracks entrance next to where we parked the CO's and First Sergeant's jeeps, along the path to the chow hall.  I'll look into it soon to see (and post the photo if I do have it).

Hi Dave..

I didn't know that Col. Krawzcyk was sick. I visited them at their campsite, a couple of years ago.  I'll reach out..   Thanks Dave.

Hey Dave, curious if you have received any messages from a Maris A, with a link they want you to click on. Seems odd to me

Hello Dave!!  Have you see any write-up by the 2d Cavalry Association on the passing of CSM Ned Deveraux and/or his contributions to the Regiment?  He was the editor of the Association periodical for many years too!

I got a message from

J Mclaughlin's Page says

Good Day,

How is everything with you, I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on where his email is  for the full details.
Have a nice day
Thanks God bless. Scammers are using this same message around the internet to get money from your bank saying you win money. I speak German and this persons Englisch is terrible. I served on the Rock in Bindlacher Burg Delta Company also helped with head start German since I spoke it anyway. Harry Mills was my tank commander. I was the driver. He told me that when I drove it was like driving on a cloud. I am the only one who like going to the wash rack.

The reason I have 3 accounts is keep forgetting passwords lol

2D CAVALRY MUSEUM UPDATE

For the twisted few of you out there like me who have lost anal retention over the closing of the 2d Cavalry's Reed Museum in 2006, I have some good news. Things are finally moving forward towards getting the "Reed" opened up again in Vilseck, Germany, after being in limbo for three years.

The Regiment has a building at their home on Rose Barracks in Vilseck…

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
