Nice job, the photo from '87 brings back memories.  I was the XO 87-89.  I saw Tom Arielly (former Commander) about a year ago, he is living in San Antonio and working for a contractor providing DSCA training to the government.

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
