To all my Dragoon Brothers and Sisters. Hope all of us have a great year. We deserve it! I have a date with a bottle of Ayinger Altbairisch Dunkel. God Bless all of you!

Hey Joe. I'm alive and well. Been busier than a three-peckered goat lately though. Got some major projects going with the 2d Cav as usual and life keeps getting in the way.
Hope all is going well with you.
Joe, don't mean to stick my nose in, but I haven't seen Gene posting anything for quite some time.
Workin' on it slow but sure.
Thanks Joe. Actually, I'm just getting over the flu. At least I think I'm getting over it. Sure feel a lot better than I did the past several days.
I managed to convince them (FB) that they screwed up and I got an apology and my account back, which included replacing all my comments from all the years I have been on there. Had to go through an extensive security screening first though, which I wasn't too happy about. At least I got all my stuff back.
Hope things are going well with you, brother. Toujours Pret!
I always told everyone I would never make it to 21. The C-15 explosion was two days before my 21st birthday. Had numerous brushes with death before and after, yet here I am. Been 21 three times now and working on a fourth. Probably not going to make it, but it has been a thrill trying.
A get together next September sounds great. I'm about 35 minutes south of the airport. I don't do Seattle unless I am flying in or out, or the occasional Seahawk game. Wife came home with 4 free front row tickets for last weeks game with the Rams on the 23 yard line right at the end of the Seahawk bench next to the replay booth.
Was out of town fishing for a few days with no comms. Happy Birthday, Joe!
Happy birthday Joe enjoy your day.
My pleasure, Joe. I think we should have gotten danger pay regardless. We were definitely on the edge of some scary crap!
Nope, no danger pay, Joe. In fact, there were a lot of times I didn't get basic pay.
I tried to join the VFW and got turned down flat. No Cold War vets allowed. A good friend of my brother's was the president of the local chapter too. He hooked me up with their sergeant-at-arms who said he could "back door" my membership and I told him no thanks. I've talked to a couple guys here at Dragoon Base who got into their local chapters though through their border duty. Just can't remember who it was.

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
