Mike, I just got back from France and Germany. I had a great tour of Omaha Beach and Colleville Cemetery, where one man from our town is buried. He was killed outside St. Lo in July--1944. Drank some good beer in Munich at the Hofbrau House and then went to Bamberg. I never saw one uniformed American soldier in Bamberg or in Germany. I went to Warner Barracks and almost didn't get to see the base for security reasons. I had to persuade a soldier to escort me in. He had a military ID. I showed my wife the compound and my barracks, pointed to my room. It was completely abandoned. I was flooded with a lot of memories. I wonder what happened to Lt. Lewis? The cit of Bamberg has changed a lot too. That is my last visit there...Mike
