My son told me when he brought it home that he got it from a retiring Major at Fort Lewis who brought the sign home from Iraq and was tired of lugging it around.
My son brought that sign home from work one day. It sat in my garage for about 15 years before I gave it away.
This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
