Connecting the Troopers of Today with the Veterans of Yesterday.
Thanks Thomas..
Tom, here is a link to the National Archives. All the information you need can be found there. I can help you with filling out the form. You can also use this same form to later request all his medals be reissued to you for free.
We be holding our own in Western Washington too, Tom. Good to go!
Happy Birthday, Tom. Hope it's a good one!
Happy Birthday and have a good one.
Roger that, Tom. It's going to be awhile before I beat this one. I'm heading into the championship rounds and getting my ass kicked!
Do you know his full name? How old is he? I looked up Micheal Thompson in the local directory and there are 30+ listed. I have emailed the adjutant at our VFW which is only one of about 5 in the Hamilton/Northern Cincinnati area. I will see if I can contact American Legion in Hamilton, they don't have an email address that I can find so, I'll have to try to catch someone there and see if they will look on their membership roster.
Sorry I took so long, too many med. issues, lost track of time and didn't do much on the computer for follow up of web postings. As to you friend, no I don't know him, I don't belong to the American Legion in Hamilton and I am a transplant from Michigan so, don't know that many people here other than other transplants and fellow workers at GE, Cincinnati Milacron.
This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
