Connecting the Troopers of Today with the Veterans of Yesterday.
This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.

Hey Mike I was in I troop 71-73 I hung out with a guy from M Co His first name was Ted his wife's name was Elaine I think. I don't remember his last. I do believe he was from Alabama. Do you remember someone from M Co. by that first name with a wife they lived at 23 Kugelfang St.
Tree Stumps Take down our Mighty M-60
Remember the time Lt wanted us to drive up this high ridge to a superior position overlooking attacking force during an FTX. Near the top we came across what looked like an open field BUT it was covered in tree stumps! (Local farmer recently harvested a section of trees). Mike you distinctly told LT, not to go in there, as the stumps were a danger for tracks. Did he listen? Of course not he had rank. NO sooner than 25ft in. the front fender bent up as the track jumped off the guides! I remember your reaction over comms! We tried everything to get the track back on even breaking the track. Good idea but, there was so much tension on treads we could not wrench it back together. THEN the tank started to SINK in the mud! Only the turret was visible as the road wheels sank deeper and deeper. I did not think we would ever get that tank out. They were talking about trying to airlift it with one of those big heli transporters because we were so isolated up there on the hill and they were afraid the VTR would encounter similar fate. What an episode! Capt. Long was PISSED!
Yeah Mike, i noticed you had some pictures posted. I sent the pigeon picture to Mark, along with a little ribbing.
Are you using the photo up-loader on your profile page? Not a clue what the problem could be, unless it's an unsupported file type, too big a file, or a firewall on your computer that isn't letting the up-loader have access to your pictures. I'm no technical wizard for sure. Our main problem shooter/site creator passed away last year just before Christmas.
My pleasure, Mike. Mark is a helluva guy. Did he mention he has two books out and working on a third? Pretty damn good reading if you like the old west.
Toujours Pret Michael

Here is a pic of me and you in Bavaria somewhere during a FTX. Do you have any photos of the guys?
The M 32 team is back together again "Mr Smoke". Remember the night at Graf, when we scored 3 direct hits on moving tank target during ONE pass! (Most tanks could only get 2 rounds downrange in the time the target traversed between the barber polls. But we scored 3 targets! Tower couldn't believe it. Rockin rodney Shelton was loader, me gunner, you TC and Olon was sleeping in drivers seat, LOL! What a night!
