Mike, Good to hear from you, been busy getting ready for winter. Don is not doing good at all, feet are open and won´t heal. He has lost alot of weight and can hardly get up and around due to his feet. I will tell him hello from you. Keep sending your jokes, they Keep me in good Humor. Top
Mike, All is well here, Don Hince is not doing so good, I went over yesterday and we had coffee together; he has sugar diabtes and they amputated one of his toes. Plus he has some kind of skin allergy, doctors have been unable to determine what he has on hands, arms and legs. He turned 65 in September and has been in and out of the hospital since then. He put in for german social security but since then but has heard nothing.
I have everything ready for winter, but suprsiingly good weather for this time of the year. All house projects for this year are wrapped up, but with a house you are never done. It was good hearing from you, take care and say hello to the family. Top
Mike, Good to hear from you, work is going slow, drainage lines are finally in; weather is the problem. Doing some masonary work on a access box to drainage control box, then I can start filling soil back in. Still plenty to do. Thanks for checking in, I will tell Don & Erika hello tomorow. Take care, Top
Mike, Good to hear things are looking up on your side of the ocean. May the 13th is the start date outside, going to do a little at a time, completion date is open-ended. While I have it open, want to put in a new drainage line for the rain spouts. I will take my breaks at the lake. Don & Erika are doing O.K., I gave them a large freezer and will move it over on the weekend. Take care, Top
Mike, Sorry I did not get back with you sooner, right now I got alot going on here at the house; need to do some foundation work and getting the material together with equipment. I have most of it pretty well in order. Most of the stuff II have, own on equipment. Ground is still frozen, although the weather is getting a little warmer. Hope everything works out for the better for your brothers girl. Catch you later. Top
Michael - Could be the same guy. He was a little older when I knew him. Seems like his full name was James T. Barnes, but then I could be wrong. Been a lot of years. My MOS was 05G (Communications Security) and at any one time there were only around 1,000 of us in the entire world. One of my fellow 05G's started a forum several years ago and now we have managed to track down over 400 former comrades. Many, I that I served with in Vietnam, Germany and stateside. These forums are great and bring back many memories. I worked with a lot of different people in the 2d ACR and spent a lot of time drinking beer at the NCO club with them. Seems like I am the only one around here from the '74-'75 era. I did see that Cpt Teeters (S3) and Cpt Bauer (Border Ops) are on this forum. Those are the only two I found that were there when I was.
